You just started your weight loss journey and you are very determined to cut off all bad foods and are looking forward to hitting your gym workouts religiously.
Now you have made your mind and have all the motivation to change your life and drop some extra kilos from your body but somewhere on the internet or from any random friend you hear that “Hey if you want to lose weight you need to consume apple cider vinegar every morning empty stomach” as apple cider vinegar helps to cut fat by boosting metabolism and somehow as a beginner in the weight loss journey you also are in the doubt whether you should consume ACV or not?

But what is Apple cider vinegar? It is nothing but fermented juice of crushed apples which is used as a dressing in salads and the normal way how vinegar is used in day to daily lives.

But with the rise of social media, apple cider vinegar is getting all the attention for how it improves various parameters of health, especially weight loss

Therefore in this article we will discuss and throw some light on the popular weight loss advice, is ACV is really important to lose weight, and can we lose weight without ACV or not?

The Reality does it help?
Coming directly to the answer, NO apple cider vinegar has nothing to do with your weight loss or fat burn, ACV does not have any relation with weight loss or boosting your body metabolism or even body detoxification, Consuming apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach does not lead to weight loss. As said ACV is a fermented juice of crushed apples it is a good source of Vitamin B1, B2, B6, folic acids, and vitamin C and also contains small amounts of minerals which if you consume first thing in the morning is a great way to start your day with a positive note of hydration. But saying that ACV has any relation with fat loss is something that is not true.

What are the benefits of Apple Cider Vinger?
Now I am not saying that ACV is totally bad, it has a good amount of health benefits as well, as consuming ACV can help to stabilize one blood sugar levels, studies have proven that ACV helps to lower blood sugar levels which is great for overall health and longevity. ACV also helps in improving insulin sensitivity which further improves the efficiency of blood sugar management. Apart from this ACV also helps in improving one’s digestion if taken in a limited amount.
As if this side of ACV can be beneficial for your health the other side of ACV can be dangerous as well if not consumed in safe amounts, as mostly ACV is safe for most people but for some people it can cause some side effects. The acidity of the ACV may harm one’s oral health if consumed in a concentrated way or in high amounts, in the same way, it can also cause acidity in your body as well. Hence it is recommended to 1–2TB of spoons drink ACV diluted with water which you can consume before or after your meals or even start your day with.

Conclusion? Is it worth it?
As mentioned, consuming ACV in your diet has a great set of benefits to your body, it helps to stabilize and lowers your blood sugar levels, improves your digestion, is a good source of vitamins, which can surely help elevate your health. Hence to attain these benefits one can safely consume ACV, but if you are someone who solely consumes ACV as a magical drink assuming it will melt your fat away is something that is not true and it won’t help anyone to lose their body weight. It is just another false information or marketing gimmick which is been running in the weight loss lobby
The only way your body will lose its stored fat is when it would burn more calories than you are feeding it over a period of time, which is also called the state of being in a calorie deficit.

No detox drinks, detox water, or any magical herbal drink can directly make you lose weight. Hence instead of looking for any special drinks, it is better to look at your overall lifestyle which includes eating nourishing foods according to what your body requires and consuming a balanced diet, drinking a good amount of water, staying active every day, and having a good sleep routine will help you to shed extra kilos from your body.
