With so many people worried and tensed about their looks and weight these days, it has given rise to a lot of incorrect practices that guarantee or promise one weight loss, with the rise of the internet and social media, the fire of misinformation has only been ignited over the years.
Therefore in this article, I will discuss some of the most popular myths about weight loss that many beginners have in their mind who are trying to lose weight.

  1. Brown Rice over White rice

— One doesn't have to eliminate white rice or switch to brown rice to lose weight, you can happily and steadily lose weight by consuming white rice as well, since the difference of the calories per 100gm of both the rice is not very significant and hence you can definitely lose weight while consuming white rice only, just make sure that you are controlling your portions, adding up protein to your diet, engaging into the activities you like and having a good sleep schedule and you will be fine and happy with white rice as well.
As a matter of fact, white rice is easy to digest for your gut than brown rice, which makes white rice a better option since the foods which are good for your gut are good for your mind too, thus avoid this trap of switching to brown rice from white rice to lose weight, you can lose weight and live a healthy life while eating white rice.

2.Consume Apple cider Vinger early morning

— Another trend that is actively going on in the weight loss industry is to consume ACV on an empty stomach early morning as it will boost your metabolism and will help to burn your fat magically.
Coming to the point ACV has nothing to do with weight loss or boosting your body metabolism, it is nothing but acetic acids and has some proven benefits to your health like lowering your blood sugar levels and improving cholesterol markers but it has nothing to do with one's metabolism or cutting fat, it is just another marketing gimmick which is going on, you can lose weight and be healthy without ACV as well.

3.Don't Eat carbs at night

— "If you want to lose weight then you have to avoid carbs during your dinner as carbs will give you excess energy which would be further converted to fat in the night as your body is not active" You can have as many carbs as you want at any given time of the day since your body tends to lose weight in the state of calorie deficit which is if you are eating in a calorie deficit it doesn't matter at what point you are having carbs be it day or night, you will be fine.
The only thing that you might have to take care of is to eat an adequate amount of protein, eat good fats and eat carbs in a balanced way with your meal at night or day, you can lose weight. Also when you eat carbs you don't get those sweet cravings as well which is crucial and sustainable for your weight loss journey, thus eat and enjoy carbs.

4.Fats are not healthy for your body

— Healthy fats are the building block of your hormones, hormones that regulates every important function of your body from your metabolism to your health, thus having a diet low in fats is the first step towards bad health, as you will feel low in energy, mood swings, bad gut health, hormonal imbalance and every bad thing that you don't want to welcome, thus make sure that you consume an adequate amount of healthy fats while losing weight as it is really essential for optimal health of your hormones, skin, hair and overall wellbeing. Some good fats that you can add are desi ghee, coconut oil, dry fruits and seeds, peanut butter, extra virgin olive oil, and Avacado.

5.Starving for Weight loss

You don't have to starve to lose weight, as a matter of fact starving is the worst possible way to lose weight, for instance, if you are consuming around 2200 calories normally and suddenly you went to eat about 700–800 calories, you will lose some weight (which would be muscles mass, water weight and some fat) not a very ideal way to lose weight as it is unsustainable and it can lead to a metabolic crash and poor gut and hormonal health, basically, all the bad things that can surely damage your health on the long run, hence never starve or torture your body to lose weight, instead of nourishing it with a good and healthy diet, workouts for better muscles and strength and sleep tight for better recovery and you will slowly lose that fat from your body.
