What mistakes slow down your weight loss?

These are some common mistakes that might slow your weight loss process or deteriorate your health fo the same.

1. Binging on weekends

Now it does not matter how well disciplined you are in your new journey for the first 5 days, but if you are someone who just goes out of control on weekends be it drinking and with drinking the next thing that comes is heavy eating then you might just reverse all the progress that you might have made during the week, hence be aware of your weekends.
Weekends are those relatives who can surely hamper your progress.

Solutions? Be accountable on weekends as well, and try to enjoy moderately.

2. Building an unhealthy relationship with food

This is the most basic mistake I see a lot of people making, which is building an unhealthy relationship with food which is they build that hate-and-love type of relationship after seeing any food, ohh this is ice cream it’s fattening I won’t eat it since I am on a diet.
and after some point in time when they are overdone with restricting some foods, the same set of people end up binge eating everything and the cycle never ends.
This habit would always end up in a miserable place mentally and physically.

Solutions? Never associate guilt or fear with any food, eat everything in moderation everything as everything has its place.
This is why some “unhealthy” foods are not unhealthy!
Never fear any food, try to eat as much as healthy or the foods that are good for you in a disciplined manner and sometimes having that scoop of ice cream or milkshake can never do any harm

3. Too much Cardio

Now as week knows too much of everything is bad, the most common mistake a lot of people do is that they focus too much on cardio, and sometimes it’s excessive which can lead to muscle loss and poor joint health, bad muscle to fat composition would lead to poor overall metabolism and bad fat loss approach.

Solutions? Try to add weight training or resistance training along with your cardio protocol.

4. Binging on so-called HEALTHY snacks

Now you just started your weight loss journey or fitness transformation, now one mental change that you just developed is that you would go into the market and would start opting for healthy snacks in place of unhealthy snacks, and to fill that hunger you might just binge of healthy snacks as well.
Now I am not saying that all of the healthy stuff that you get on the market is bad but many companies do play with the word healthy or sugar-free and actually give you more calories than any normal food.
For eg fiber biscuits, atta Maggi, jaggery-based food, etc.

Solution? Do not stress a lot about these so-called HEALTHY alternatives, stick to basics

5. Not eating an adequate amount of protein

India is really blessed when it comes to spices and food knowledge, but one place where some Indians lack is eating a protein-less diet, most of us don't eat the basic amount of protein that we should.
as you might know, try to consume at least 1gm of protein per gm of your body weight, it helps to build your metabolism, lean muscle mass, maintain a healthy weight loss and help you in your weight loss journey as well.
There is just a good set of benefits of eating a protein-rich diet, make sure you are getting your protein from eggs, chicken, whey protein, legumes and lentiles, tofu, and dairy products.
